Education Table Talk

Ed Table Talk Airs, Science Education: The Next Generation

Education Table Talk has announced that they will be hosting a new show centered on science education and standards for the next generation.  Science Education: The Next Generation, will air Tuesday April 22nd at 11:00am PT/2:00pm ET. The show will be available by web broadcast at http://blogtalkradio.com/edtabletalk.

Ed Table Talk, sponsored by MCH Stategic Data, is a fast-paced, interactive monthly radio show discussing some of the most controversial topics in the education industry.

National scale standards in the US level have been controversial and the science standards are no different. The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) have taken an inventive approach to describe and represent the inherently complex process of how we engage learners in making sense of the world around them. Host Michael Jay and guests will discuss the effective change of Science Education and how it will impact generations to come.

Pull up a chair at the table and join in the active and spritely discussion around science standards.

Our Guests at ‘The Table’ this month:

  •  Peter McLaren, Science and Technology Specialist, R.I.               Department of Education
  •  Pat Shane, Ph.D., Executive Director, North Carolina Science       Leadership Association (NCSLA)
  •  Ted Willard, Program Director, National Science Teaching           Association (NSTA)

Our guests are leaders in the Education sector who are interested in sharing their knowledge and expertise with the Education community, providing an astute amount of knowledge as they share multiple perspectives of the issue at hand.

“Whether you’re a pro or a newcomer to the industry, everyone benefits from the deep-dive forum discussion around hot topics in education,” founder of eScholar Shawn Bay said.  “ETT provides a helpful platform to connect and exchange ideas.”

Ed Table Talk strives to provide a forum where issues critical to education are discussed around the table in a spirited debate, attempting to present the content in a format that is a contrast to some of the heavier and more standard web presentation formats.

“ETT provides a light, fun, engaging conversational format to review high-interest topics in education,” said Knovation Chief Academic Officer Steve Nordmark.
