The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) has been awarded a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to continue its efforts as co-leader of the Learning Resource Metadata Initiative (LRMI). Phase III focuses on building a community of support around the new LRMI metadata specification, which was recently adopted by Schema.org.
Specific Phase III projects include:
- Developing an online LRMI knowledge base
- Organizing a series of workshops on LRMI implementation
- Providing support for organizations developing tools and services around LRMI tagging
- Facilitating communication around LRMI between content creators and states and districts
- Developing a long-term vision for the LRMI specification and its community of users
